About Me
Hi, I'm Canyon, the person behind Canyon CAD Solutions.
I've been designing in CAD for around three years, developing experience in custom parts, mechanical designs, aircraft components, robotic arms, and 3D-printable projects. I enjoy taking an idea, sketch, or physical part and turning it into an accurate digital design that can actually be manufactured.
I work with Onshape to create detailed CAD models and production-ready files for applications such as laser cutting and 3D printing. I also use precision measuring tools, including calipers, when recreating or modifying existing parts.
I'm based in Spallumcheen, BC, and I'm always interested in taking on new projects and helping bring ideas from concept to reality.

What You Can Expect
Clear Communication
I’ll make sure I understand your project before getting started. If something is unclear or additional measurements are needed, I’ll reach out rather than making assumptions.
Accurate Design
Using CAD software and precise measurements, I create designs with accuracy in mind. When working from an existing part, I can use measurements and calipers to recreate the geometry as accurately as possible.
Files Ready for Production
Depending on your project, you can receive production-ready files such as DXF, STEP, STL, or other commonly used CAD formats. Files can be prepared specifically for laser cutting, 3D printing, or other manufacturing processes.

Pricing
CAD Design & Drafting
My standard rate for CAD design, drafting, 3D modeling, and related design work is $50 CAD per hour, plus applicable taxes.
To keep smaller projects practical, a $75 minimum charge applies to each project, before applicable taxes.
50% Upfront Deposit
A 50% deposit of the total quoted project amount is required upfront before work begins. The remaining 50% will be due upon completion of the project, before final files are delivered.
Payment
Payment can be made by cash or e-transfer. The final amount, including applicable taxes, will be provided when your project is ready for payment.
